TDO Harvest — Privacy Policy
TDO Harvest is the harvest logistics app of TDO Inc, a farm. It is used only by the farm's own crew and the people the farm works with during harvest: combine and grain cart operators, truck drivers and the office. There is no public sign-up; the office creates every sign-in.
What the app collects
- Who you are on the crew — your name, your sign-in name and PIN, your role, your crew, and which machine you are in.
- Where your device is — while location sharing is switched on, the device's position is sent so the crew can see where each semi, cart and combine is, work out arrival times and follow drawn routes. The app also keeps a short daily summary for truck drivers: distance driven, time stopped, speed against posted and farm speed limits, and time off the drawn route. It does not keep a trail of every position. Location sharing is off until you switch it on, and you can switch it off at any time from the menu.
- Scale tickets and loads — the figures on each elevator or bin ticket (weights, bushels, moisture, test weight and so on), the grain cart weights, which field the grain came from and where it went, and a photograph of each ticket.
- Camera — used only when you choose to photograph a scale ticket.
- Alerts — if you turn alerts on, a notification address for your device, so the crew's messages can reach it.
- Messages — alerts and replies sent between crew members inside the app.
How it is used
Only to run the farm's harvest: dispatching semis, recording tickets and loads, keeping the fields' bushel totals, checking grain cart scales against the elevator, and the office's record keeping. It is not used for advertising, and it is never sold or rented to anyone.
Who else handles it
- Supabase stores the farm's records and photographs and runs the app's server functions.
- Anthropic (Claude) reads ticket photographs to fill in the ticket's figures. The photo is sent for reading and the figures come back to the app.
- Netlify serves the app itself.
- Map services — OpenStreetMap and Esri provide map pictures and road data. Your device asks them for map tiles directly, as any map does; they are not sent your name or your records.
- Case IH (CNH Industrial) — the office may link the farm's own FieldOps account so combine data can be compared with the tickets. Nothing about the crew is sent to CNH.
Each of these handles the data only to provide their service to the farm.
Who can see it
Crew members see what they need to do their job: the map, the loads and tickets for their crew, and messages sent to them. The farm's office sees all of the farm's records. Location is only shown to people signed in to the farm's app.
How long it is kept
Tickets, loads and photographs are the farm's business records and are kept as long as the farm needs them. Live positions are replaced as new ones arrive. Driving summaries are kept for the season.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and the database only answers signed-in crew members, with each role limited to what it may read and change.
Your choices, and deleting your data
You can switch location sharing and alerts off at any time. To have your sign-in and personal details removed, or to ask what is held about you, contact the farm office at adam@tdofarmsinc.com. Tickets and loads you recorded stay in the farm's records as business records, with your name removed if you ask.
Children
The app is for the farm's working crew and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with a new effective date.
